Pakaraka School – A New Chapter in Our Journey

Pakaraka School is proud to announce that, from 12 October 2026, we are officially a Charter School.

This is an exciting new chapter for our kura, allowing us to continue growing our unique approach to holistic education while delivering the New Zealand Curriculum.

The heart of our kura remains the same.

At Pakaraka School, we believe education is about nurturing the whole child. Through rhythm, storytelling, pūrākau, the arts, music, movement, practical learning and a deep connection to nature, we create meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, imagination and creativity.

Our commitment to our tamariki, whānau, and community remains at the centre of everything we do.

Our kura is open to all families. We celebrate the uniqueness of every child and provide a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where everyone belongs. Our holistic education is completely fees-free and accessible to all.
